From Lisa Ousley: After the Harvest is encouraging Kansans to support the efforts of KC Healthy Kids, the organization leading the charge to eliminate sales tax on fresh fruits and vegetables in Kansas in 2015.
Senate Bill 263 applies to “all sales of fresh, unprepared fruits, vegetables, honey and herbs for human consumption that are not processed or prepared beyond their natural state, except for harvesting or cleaning processes …”
KC Healthy Kids is a nonprofit organization dedicated to reducing obesity and improving the health of Greater Kansas City’s children, and is a partner organization for After the Harvest.
