Project Description
The Village Food Pantry and Clothes Closet is operated by Village Presbyterian Church, 6641 Mission Road in Prairie Village, Kansas.
The pantry offers fresh, canned and packaged food, toiletries, household items, small appliances, and in-season men’s, women’s and children’s clothing, all subject to availability. Recipients are eligible to receive help once a month. They must have a Social Security card and an income at or below federal poverty guidelines.
More than 200 volunteers a month staff the pantry and clothes closet, scheduling and receiving clients, shopping with them, sorting and stocking, handling pickups and deliveries, loading and unloading trucks, and doing office work.
