Schedule your late May gleaning now: Radishes, onions, greens @ KS & MO Farms (most within an hr. of KC). April-August--usually 7:30-10 a.m.

Glean radishes, onions, greens, beets, lettuce, kale, spinach and more during late May, 2015. Will you help us get healthy food that would otherwise go to waste—to feed hungry people?

After the Harvest is planning now for 2015 spring, summer and fall gleaning. Take a look at the produce we most commonly glean throughout the season (of course, nothing is set in stone because of weather, produce availability, etc. but you’ll get a good idea of what to expect). Note: When it’s hot, we glean early mornings; if cooler, we glean mid to late mornings and some afternoons. April-August-usually 7:30-10 a.m.

If you, your family and friends, school, church, organization or work place are interested in gleaning in 2015, e-mail Sandy Vivian at [email protected]. Just indicate the day, week or month in which you’d like to glean and we’ll reserve a space for you.

If you have a group of 15 or over, mid June-October would be the best choice to glean. Or, in April and May, we have opportunities to plant and help at farms (some farms let us plant and the produce goes to food banks and pantries!).
