After the Harvest, Premier Integrative Health and Compost Collective KC are collaborating for a one-of-a-kind Earth Day Celebration!!!
We invite you to honor this beautiful planet we all share by joining us for an outdoor screening of WASTED! The Story Of Food Waste produced by Anthony Bourdain. This entertaining and educational documentary exposes the criminality of food waste and how it’s directly contributing to climate change, food scarcity and the degradation of our soils. WASTED! demonstrates how each of us can make small changes – all of them delicious – to solve one of the greatest problems of the 21st Century.
Through the eyes of famous chefs, you will see how they make the most of every kind of food, transforming what most people consider scraps into incredible dishes that create a more secure food system. After The Harvest, Premier Integrative Health and Compost Collective KC are three organizations in your area that are extremely passionate about reducing food waste, supporting their community, protecting the environment and finding new solutions for old problems… or rather, old solutions for new problems.
During this Earth Day extravaganza, we will be sharing simple ways YOU can live cleaner, give more, and waste less!

Compost Collective KC:
This awesome organization is composed of a small group of caring citizens who want to make composting easy for you and keep food out of landfills. They’ve created a curbside compost pick-up service in the KC area to help reduce food waste & replenish the soils of our community. They are in partnership with Missouri Organic and local farms; after picking up food scraps from your home, they deliver it to these local farms where it is transformed into nutrient-dense compost that will be used to grow MORE nutritious food… and the cycle begins again!
