The Greens&Jeans Committee is working long hours to ensure a whoop-it-up good time on Sept. 15! If you haven’t yet reserved your table or bought your individual tickets for our largest and scoot-your-boots-BEST fundraiser of the year, please do it now as space (especially reserved tables of eight) is filling up fast!
Just a reminder: The event is Saturday, Sept. 15 from 6-9 p.m. in the big, beautiful barn at Cider Hill. Come early from 5-6 p.m. for apple picking—buy some to keep, donate some if you like. Get your tickets now.
Here’s what’s happening:
- Chef Michael Moyes is putting the finishing touches to the menu for this year. If you attended Greens&Jeans last year, you know that the spread was something to remember! We’ll share details shortly.
- Our generous sponsors have stepped up to help with the event. Thanks go to KCP&L, True Peace Financial Solutions, Blair Bieser and Dave Raffel. Go here for more information on Greens&Jeans sponsorship.
- Our volunteers keep working hard and we’re amazed every day at all of the time and effort they put in. If you’d like to help too, sign up to volunteer.
- The auction items just keep rolling in…thanks to Committee Heads Jen Horn and Sue Forbes and all of our generous donors. Plan to bid on these items:
Star Party—A guided tour of the stars for ten from seasoned astronomers with two of the finest personal telescopes in the area, select wines, appetizers and an overnight stay for three couples…all at Hawley Farm Glamping.
Round trip airline tickets—four one-way domestic Southwest Airlines tickets (can be combined for round trip travel).
Billy Joel tickets—two tickets to the Billy Joel concert at Kauffman Stadium on Sept. 21.
Golf at Shadow Glen—Golf for four plus golf cart at Shadow Glen Golf Club, voted #1 golf course in the Kansas City area and #3 course in the state of Kansas by Golf Digest.
Southmoreland getaway—A stay for two at Southmoreland on the Plaza Bed & Breakfast, including coffee mugs and recipe book.
And many, many more items!
